The Brazilian award show BreakTudo Awards announced on Thursday, August 24, the list of nominees for the 2023 BreakTudo Awards. Various artists from South Korean, American, and Latin music are competing. EXO, SB19, Seventeen, Stray Kids, and TXT are nominated for the Best International Male Group award. K-pop dominates this category, facing competition from international groups Big Time Rush from the USA, 5 Seconds of Summer from Australia, and CNCO also from the United States. In the category of Best International Female Group, Aespa, BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE, ITZY, IVE, and TWICE, all representing K-pop, are competing with the pop groups FLO and Boys World.

However, K-pop also stands out in various individual categories. BTS's Jungkook was nominated for International Rising Artist and also for Best International Music Video for his video "Seven," in collaboration with rapper Latto. BTS's Jimin is also competing in the category of Best International Hit with "Like Crazy." Other K-pop artists competing in the same category include "Cupid (Twin Version)" by the group FIFTY FIFTY and "FLOWER" by Jisoo. The category is highly competitive, also including songs like "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus, "Anti-Hero" by Taylor Swift, and "Kill Bill" by SZA.

Jackson Wang is nominated in the category of Best International Music Video for "Come Alive." TXT competes with "Sugar Rush Ride," and BLACKPINK with "Shut Down." In the Best International Fandom category, K-pop secured three out of eight nominations with the fandoms "ARMY" of BTS, "Blinks" of BLACKPINK, and "IGOT7" of Got7. They compete with the fandoms of Demi Lovato, Louis Tomlinson, Maneskin, Nicki Minaj, and Ava Max.

Voting for the 2023 BreakTudo Awards begins on August 27 and ends on September 25. The award ceremony will be broadcasted on October 25 through the Brazilian streaming platform Box Brazil Play, the Yeeaah TV channel, and the Telemilênio channel on YouTube.
