Soprano Lee Sang Eun has tragically passed away.
According to reports on July 7, Soprano Lee Sang Eun (46) was found dead at the theater ahead of her performance of 'Carmina Burana.' She did not appear at the start of the show at 7:30 PM on July 6, and the staff member found her collapsed in the woman's restroom in the theater around 8:20 PM. She was then rushed to the hospital but she was announced dead on arrival.
While the exact cause of her death is unknown and still under investigation, the police say the possibility of foul play is low.
Meanwhile, Soprano Lee Sang Eun graduated from Seoul National University and got her masters from The New School's Mannes School of Music.
