'Physical: 100' contestant Kim Da Young admitted she was a school bully and apologized.
On February 24, Kim Da Young wrote on her Instagram, "I now am posting this letter after contemplating for a few days and self-reflecting." She continued to write, "About 14 years ago, I admit I was a delinquent student. Looking back at the past, I hung out with the popular kids and cursed at my juniors, hurting their feelings, with the excuse of disciplining them. I was not mature and I was childish."
Kim Da Young continued, "I'm sure there are juniors who were hurt by this, so I want to apologize using this opportunity. I am really sorry." She added, "Even if I apologize like this, it won't make the past disappear. If the time allows, I want to personally go and apologize, asking for forgiveness."
Kim Da Young also apologized to the producers of 'Physical:100,' viewers, and fans. However, she claimed that there were things from the accusation she felt were wrong.
She elaborated, "I did not steal money or physically assault them. It is true that I acted shamefully, cursing and saying hurtful words to my juniors, but I never physically hurt them or took their money."
Lastly, she shared, "I want to apologize and seek forgiveness but I don't think it's a true apology if I have to apologize for something I did not do. I will self-reflect on the wrong I did."
I have to give her kudos. While what she did in the past was shameful, it sounds like she understand what she did was wrong and has become a better person. What especially is striking is that she understands that it will take the people she bullied time to even listen to her apology and she understand that she may not be forgiven.
