The trend that is going on in South Korea among the younger generation is the MBTI personality test. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is an introspective self-report questionnaire that indicates the psychological preferences in how people perceive and interact with the world around them.
The test assesses four key categories - Introversion or extraversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, and judging or perceiving - with each characteristic assigned a letter for each category. The test produces a four-letter personality type - ISTJ, ISFJ, INFJ, INTJ, ISTP, ISFP, INFP, INTP, ESTP, ESFP, ENFP, ENTP, ESTJ, ESFJ, ENFJ, and ENTJ.
According to your personality, you react in different ways in situations and interact differently with people around you, and the MBTI is a system created for a better understanding of personality types.
Lately, South Koreans have been fascinated with the MBTI personality system and have been in various discussions about the topic.
LE SSERAFIM joined the conversation and decided to talk amongst themselves about one question that clearly shows a distinct difference between those with the "S" personality from the "N" personality.
The question is "There is a restaurant that you go to regularly. You went to the restaurant as always and finished your meal. At the end of the meal, the restaurant brought out oranges for dessert on the house that the restaurant normally doesn't give. If you received the oranges for free after your meal, what would you think?"
The LE SSERAFIM members got into a debate over this matter and the team was divided into two groups - Kim Chae Won and Hong Eun Chae were in the "S" group while, Sakura, Huh Yun Jin, and Kazuha were in the "N" group.
Kim Chae Won and Hong Eun Chae went on to say, "What's there to think about?" and Hong Eun Chae shared, "I would just think 'Nice, it's oranges,' and would just eat them."
On the other hand, Sakura was surprised and shared, "I would think it's a special day because they didn't give it out before. Maybe they want to show their appreciation to me since I am their regular customer." Huh Yun Jin and Kazuha agreed and explained they would think there is a reason the restaurant would give out free oranges.
Kim Chae Won and Hong Eun Chae broke out in laughter and argued, "When free oranges are given, you just eat them without thinking about anything."
Huh Yun Jin went on to read the reaction for each personality type and the group broke out in more laughter. Yun Jin read, "Wow! For S type, they just think one thing 'Nice, it's oranges' and you guys said the exact same thing!"
