Global boy group Stray Kids have set yet another impressive number of album sales with their latest release!
On October 7 KST, Stray Kids returned to the scene with their highly-anticipated album 'MAXIDENT' with "Case 143" serving as its title track. Five days after its release, the album has already accumulated over 2 million copies sold in less than a week after according to the data released by the Hanteo chart.
'MAXIDENT' has now become the band's highest-selling album in first week sales, surpassing 'ODDINARY's album sales in the first week, which sold over 850,000 million copies on Hanteo, showing a huge growth in sales.
In addition, on its first day of release, 'MAXIDENT' sold a whopping 1.3 million copies, setting a new personal record for Stray Kids; the number of sales was tripled from the group's previous album record holder 'ODDINARY,' which sold around 496,000 copies on the first day.
This now makes Stray Kids a double million-seller. Another two acts that achieved this are BTS and Seventeen, meaning, Stray Kids have become the third act in Hanteo's history to hit the 2 million mark within the first week of release.
In other news, the boys just took their first music show trophy for "Case 143" on Mnet's 'M! Countdown.
Congratulations to Stray Kids!
These boys are doing awesome. Keep up the good work, but give Hyunjin some time to heal his hand.
