BTS took a break from music to join President Biden at the White House to address the rise in hate crimes and other acts of discrimination against Asian Americans. The press briefing was also held in celebration of Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Kim Taehyung, aka V, delivered a short but powerful speech in his native Korean language along with his group mates. He highlighted the importance of being sympathetic and respecting one another's backgrounds to reduce discrimination and hate crimes. 

Despite what was surely a nerve-racking experience of representing South Korea and Asians at the White House, Taehyung delivered his speech with pure class and confidence, and fans couldn't be prouder. 

While Taehyung's sincere speech hit the mark, it was his humble gestures and mannerisms that pulled the heartstrings. The gravity of the situation also seemed to have affected Taehyung as he got emotional during the press briefing.

Taehyung later took a photo with President Biden, and his heartfelt speech was featured in SBS News' report about BTS' visit to the White House.
