BTS Jimin's birthday present this year will be just as enchanting as he is, and it'll come from the forest.

On the 20th of March, Jimin fan base JM Sylvania announced that they would be commemorating his birthday with a Jimin forest built in the Jamwon Hangang area of the Han River in Seoul. 

To prepare for this uniquely themed project, the organizers scouted for a few places in search of a suitable site that would feel safe, beautiful, convenient, and happy. They finally arrived at the beautiful Jamwon Hangang area along the Han River for the creation of the forest.

In their opening statement, JM Sylvania gave the reason for having a Jimin forest, stating that despite the 2020 Jimin bench garden being a place where his fans made beautiful memories, it had become increasingly difficult to renew its adoption because the management of the Seoul Forest relocated the Seoul Green Trust. Therefore after careful deliberation, it was decided that a Jimin forest would be built in order to continue to have space for all to love Jimin in harmony.

On the 26th of March, JM Sylvania then held a fundraiser for this project budgeted at 30 Million Won (approx. $24,484), and within 1 hour and 41 minutes, Korean fans had raised the full amount all going towards the Jimin Sylvania birthday project this year. Through the project fundraiser, the lucky donors would also receive mini Jimin gift boxes from a random draw. 

Jimin has been known for his record-breaking and show-stopping birthday projects. Last year the Jimin Land was created by Jimin fan base All For Jimin at the Common Ground in Seoul, which is the largest container pop-up shopping mall in the world, turned into a 'My Serendipity' Jimin theme. Chinese Fans Park Jimin Bar went all out by making Jimin the first person in the world to have a thematic projection show of the Busan tower as part of his birthday celebrations. Additionally, in collaboration with Jeju Air, they organized a fully customized exclusive Jimin plane operating for three months. Jimin was also the first person in the world to have a Happy Birthday banner flying over New York and the Coast of Australia, among other grand projects. The season was heralded with LED Ads all over Seoul and abroad, hundreds of donations, volunteer and conservation projects worldwide, all of which made headlines.
