Earlier this year in May, McDonald's held a record-breaking collaboration with the global K-pop act, BTS. McDonald's released the 'BTS Meal,' which included a 10-piece Chicken McNugget order, a medium order of World Famous French Fries, a medium Coke, and special Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces inspired by real dipping sauces available at McDonald's locations in South Korea. The collaboration swept up the world by its feet as BTS fans all over the world lined up in front of McDonald's to get their hands on this special meal.
As a follow-up to McDonald’s record-breaking collaboration in May, the biggest food brand in the world is once again teaming up with the biggest K-pop band in the world. This time, select McDonald's branches in California are going purple to show support for BTS's first live concert in two years. BTS's concert 'Permission to Dance On Stage' will be taking place at the Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium from November 27 to 28, then from December 1 to the 2nd.
McDonald's will be one of the main sponsors of the BTS concert as they will be providing goods during the concert days. Fans can receive the concert’s official photocard & branded photocard sleeves featuring images of the BTS members. On each concert day, McDonald's will be providing a free McCafé food truck serving free coffee and hash browns beginning at 9 AM PST. Additionally, McDonald’s World Famous Fries later in the afternoon during those days.
Also, to celebrate the partnership, select McDonald's branches will be going purple on opening night only. These branches listed below will be lighting their restaurants purple, the official color of the boy group.
The following locations are the participating branches that will light their restaurants purple:
- 4015 W Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA, 90301
- 1406 W Manchester Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90047
- 7123 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, 90043
- 1763 W Century Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, 90050
- 401 Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA, 90301
This is really sweet and cute.
But i'm in Europe tho, so lighting my living purple while watching the online version and stuffing myself is the only way to go. Hopefully they'll come next year and do the concerts that were mean to be done in 2020.
