On November 21, Megan Thee Stallion tweeted, announcing that she will unfortunately be unable to perform 'Butter' with BTS on the 2021 American Music Awards (AMA) anymore due to personal reasons.

Previously, it was announced that Megan will be finally performing 'Butter' with BTS live on the AMA. Fans were hyped after hearing that news. However, they would have to be disappointed by this news.

Meanwhile, both BTS and Megan Thee Stallion are nominated for awards this year, with Megan nominated for Favorite Trending Song ("Body"), Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Favorite Hip-Hop Album ('Good News'), and BTS nominated for Favorite Pop Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song ("Butter").

BTS has also become the first Asian act to be nominated in the esteemed Artist of the Year category, where they are nominated against The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, and Ariana Grande.

The 2021 American Music Awards will air on November 21 on ABC, stay tuned for more updates!
