M Countdown is a show that features some of the best and most famous artists who perform live on stage. This show started its first episode in 2006, and it is still active to this day.
This show also changed its scoring system on May 28, 2020. According to their latest system, the scoring is 45% for Digital Sales, 15% for Album Sales, 15% for Youtube music video views, 15% for Global Fan Vote, 10% for Mnet Broadcast, and 10% for Live Voting.
On June 17, TWICE and TXT were nominated for #1 in M Countdown. At the end of the show, TWICE won with 10,123 points with their new title song Alcohol-Free while TXT gained 4,382 points with their song 0X1=LOVESONG. This is TWICE's 114th music show win, extending their record as the Korean girl group with the most music show wins.
After that, TWICE officially became the first girl group to score more than 10,000 points in M Countdown under this new scoring system. The previous record for the highest score for a girl group was held by (G)-IDLE's HWAA with 9,594 points on the January 21, 2021 episode. The current record holder for the highest points under the new system is SHINee's "Don't Call Me" on the March 4, 2021 episode with 10,990 points.
