BTS’s V is a man of many talents, and while official positions constituted 8 years ago are now meaningless and try to hold him back, he always excels. He may not be considered the group's main vocalist, but he has one of the most perfect vocal techniques and perhaps the widest vocal range.

V was recently voted as the male idol with the most outstanding vocal skills on the Choeaedol app. He was the popular choice and topped 80 other idols to take the title. The poll was conducted from May 20 - May 26, and 91,000 voters participated in the voting, and V received 53,000 votes. 

V is the only lyrical baritone in a group of tenors, a complexity that makes him stand out due to his highly accommodating vocal range. Not only this, he has the strongest sense of breath support amongst all members of BTS and can transition into his falsetto with relative ease. V is also known for his beautiful vocal runs and his beautiful low deep voice and is the only member of the vocal line who is able to push his head voice up to the sixth octave, higher than any of the tenors.

V’s vocals have earned him the love of Grammy-nominated soprano Sumi Jo, and Broadway legend and Tony Award winner Lea Salonga. Esteemed music critic Kim Young Dae has also appreciated V’s pastel baritone and deemed his voice as an essential part of BTS’ musicality. 

Army flooded Twitter with clips of V’s singing. His legendary solo performances in ‘Stigma’ and BTS’ most critically acclaimed song, Singularity, rose to fame once again. ‘Best Vocalist Taehyung’ became a trending topic on Twitter soon after the release of the voting results. 

Being the representative member of BTS in terms of vocals, visuals, and charms, V continues to thrive without any official positions, and while he is not the main or the lead vocalist, media, muggles, and fans have dubbed him as the best and one of K-Pop’s finest vocalists out there. He has become a singer that his fans can be proud of.
