On March 20, actress Go Min Si issued a personal apology post via her Instagram.
A day earlier, a photo of the actress allegedly drinking at a bar with friends underage surfaced online, becoming a hot topic of debate. The photos are seen as having been posted in 2011, when Go Min Si was 17-years old.
In response, Go Min Si shared the following post via her Instagram.
"Hello, this is Go Min Si.
First and foremost, I would like to apologize for greeting you with such an disagreeable post, as well as for causing a disturbance with the photo of me drinking underage.
I believe that there were some of those who have been cheering me on who hoped that it was not me in the photo, and those who would rather that I quickly come forward.
I also personally feel that it would not be adequate to let such things pass, with the excuses that I was young, I was immature, and it was all in the past.
I am aware that some of you will be hurt with a scar that cannot quite be described in words from this incident.
I acknowledge that my past actions shape who I am today, and I take full responsibility for myself in the past.
Even if it is difficult to fully relay my sincerity through words alone, as words can rarely paint the whole picture, I would like to nonetheless apologize to those who were hurt by this recent incident.
I will do my best to walk a more mature and righteous path."
Meanwhile, Go Min Si debuted back in 2016 through the web drama '72 Second Drama'. She then garnered attention for her roles in Netflix original series like 'Love Alarm' and 'Sweet Home'.
I know most of my peers drink alcohol before 19. I don’t think knetz has the right to mad at them. I’m pretty sure they did the same. Double standard at its finest. Like, as if the celebrity should live their life without break the law. They, normal citizens did the same.
