Netizens are praising ITZY and GFriend's even line distribution among recent girl group releases.
Recently on Instagram, a post caught netizens' eyes for introducing line distributions of recently released girl group songs. Although one member will always get to sing a little bit more than the other, netizens thought ITZY's "Not Shy" and GFriend's "Apple" had the most fairly divided line distributions among its members.
ITZY's "Not Shy" had Yeji as the member with the most lines at 23.8%, followed by Yuna (21.4%), Chaeryeong (19.7%), Lia (19.4%), and Ryujin at 15.8%. GFriend's "Apple" had Eunha (19.1%) as the member with the most lines followed by Yuju (17%), Umji (16.9%), SinB (16.8%), Yerin (16.0%), and Sowon (14.2%).
What do you think? Do you agree?
I wonder what point we went from caring about what a song sounded like to focusing on spreadsheets?
Members shouldn't get 3 seconds a song, but the moment we care more about 25/25/25/25 than who has the best vocal range for those brief moments everyone loses.
