“Jimin was too fast.”

The ‘Idol Star Athletics Championship’ or ‘ISAC’:Hall of Fame aired a special talk show in two parts last February 11 and 12.  The special talk show, in lieu of the usual ISAC event, looked back on the most memorable moments from the history of ISAC. The show was hosted by ‘ISAC’ resident MC Jun Hyun Moo and Super Junior’s Leetuk.

BTS’s main dancer and lead vocalist Park Jimin was mentioned during the New Year’s special for ISAC: Hall of Fame. A short video clip of Jimin as BTS’s first runner in ISAC’s 400M relay races has been played. According to MC Jun Hyun Moo, “Jimin was fast. He was too fast. BTS’s strategy was to always put Jimin at the forefront.” He further added “The most impressive thing for me was that Jimin was hitting a lot in the beginning. The runners in the back tried to catch up, but it was a bit too much. I think the plan was very good.” His co-host and the idol guests couldn’t agree more.

BTS made legendary moments in ISAC by winning the 400m men’s relay for 3 consecutive years in 2015, 2016 and 2017. During those 3 years, the compositions of BTS’s 4-man team may have changed a little, but Jimin has been always the first runner of the group. Jimin has consistently shown his effectiveness to give BTS a head start in the relay race.

Jimin has shown his exemplary athleticism and strong leg muscle by outrunning his opponents. Here is the compilation of Jimin as BTS’s first runner.

Other than the 400m relay, Jimin has also won a silver medal during BTS's first attendance at ISAC in 2014. He participated as a member of a futsal team. Futsal is an indoor football game.

Jimin has also participated in other games at ISAC like high jump and archery.

Recently, Jimin gained attention after an MBC Radio Star writer revealed that the ISAC’s production team was very surprised when Jimin won the female idol’s popularity vote with an overwhelming amount of votes in 2016.

Jimin proved that he is an all-rounder which excels not only in singing, dancing and performing but in many other fields like sports and martial arts. Jimin is known to be skilled in several sports such as soccer, basketball, billiards, Kendo and Taekwondo.
