K-pop boy band Super Junior will hold concerts in Saudi Arabia on July 12-13.
It is the first K-pop band to stage a solo gig in the oil-rich Middle East country, reflecting the genre's increasing popularity in the region.
The first concert, "Super Show 7S," will take place at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, the second-biggest city there. The group will also perform at the Jeddah Season Festival, a 41-day event featuring top musicians in the Arab region.
"The bilateral relations between South Korea and Saudi Arabia have become closer in the wake of the Saudi crown prince's recent visit to Seoul," an official of the band's label said. "The upcoming concerts will help bolster cultural exchanges between the two countries."
Wow, this is interesting. Dubai last year and KSA this year. SM is finally making moves here. Took them long enough tbh.
