Brand New Music's long-awaited new boy group has officially confirmed their group name - AB6IX!
The group name AB6IX holds two unique meanings - "Absolute Six" and "Above Brandnew Six" - combining the 5 members of AB6IX and their fans into one, transcendent form. Correspondingly, AB6IX's newly revealed logo, identity, and motion brand film (above) describe the group's name visually by depicting the joining of two stars from two separate groups, who are then joined by one additional star, before forming one, full, colorful sphere.
It's no secret that the 4 known members of this new boy group are Wanna One members Park Woo Jin and Lee Dae Hwi, and MXM members Kim Dong Hyun and Lim Young Min. However, fans will have to wait to find out who the 5th and final member of AB6IX is, ahead of their grand debut this coming May.

Really looking forward to the group. But have to admit I don't like the name. D1CE a couple days ago and now this? Personally, I think companies are trying way too hard to be clever with the letter and number combos. Can't we just have names that are easy to read/say? I think it actually helps when you are trying to gain fans because something like this just makes it hard to remember for people who see it for the first time. And then you have to go through the whole thing of explaining how to say the name when you want to tell friends about the group. There might even be people who think IX is the roman numeral 9 and read it as AB69.
