Actress Oh Seung Ah has won New Actress of the Year on '2018 MBC Drama Awards'.

Formerly known as Seung Ah from Rainbow, this ex-girl group idol received her first recognition as an actress. As lead character Shin Hwa Kyung in 'Secrets and Lies', Oh Seung Ah stood side by side with actress Lee Seol, who also received a rookie award at this event.

During her speech, Seung Ah teared up and said, "I am so grateful that I got to receive this kind of award that I had never been able to receive as Rainbow." She continued, "I wish my mother a happy birthday, and I would also like to thank my Rainbow members."

Meanwhile, former Rainbow member Jaekyung also won Best Supporting Actress (Mon-Tue series) at this event and gave thanks to former Rainbow members and to the late DSP Media CEO, Lee Ho Yeon.
