AOA's Chanmi is gaining criticism because of her YouTube channel.
Chanmi recently created her own YouTube channel, but so far her only video is one where she previews the content that is supposedly coming. The reason? Because she won't reveal her first video until she hits 10,000 subscribers.
The move has been met with an incredible amount of criticism. YouTube comments read, "Don't try to get 10,000 subscribers just from the fact that you're a celebrity," "You're going to upload videos starting from when you get 10,000 subscribers... That doesn't look that good from the point of view of another YouTuber," "You're not even thinking of the other YouTubers who put in hard work and effort to get subscribers? This is just wrong," "I'm trying to think about what you mean when you say you're gonna upload the videos after you get to 10,000 subscribers. People compete with their content but she seems to be just saying, 'Well, I'm a celebrity~'," and much more.
Portal site comments were just as unforgiving. Netizens commented, "A Pink's Bomi is so much better... You can tell Bomi is working hard and enjoying it because she wants to, but [Chanmi] is busy just trying to get subscribers...", "It's because her brain is empty", "How embarrassing would it be if she can't get to 10,000", "If you start at 10,000 subscribers, you make money that more easily. What kind of YouTuber tries to get subscribers without any content? She's just trying to make easy money," "She's just trying to take the easy way. I hope she fails," and more.
Because of the controversy, the likes-dislikes ratio on her first video is not doing so well.
