Banana Culture responded to reports of Solji joining EXID for their Japanese debut.
On July 26, EXID's Twitter revealed teaser images of the girl group's Japanese debut with "Up and Down" that included Solji, causing fans to wonder about her return. Solji has been on a hiatus to focus on her health after undergoing orbital decompression surgery this past January and dealing with hyperthyroidism.
Banana Culture officially stated on the 27th, "Solji has received a clean bill of health from her doctors. However, we'll have to keep monitoring her health and be cautious as hyperthyroidism has the possibility of flaring up again." The label further confirmed Solji did participate in EXID's Japanese debut preparations, but they're still in talks about her joining promotional activities.
