According to an exclusive report by 'SBS 8 O'Clock News' on February 6, popular idol member 'B' received his Master's degree at Kyung Hee University with a "rubbish performance". SBS shared a blurred graduation performance footage of 'B' that was submitted and approved for the Music degree. The footage shows 'B' singing and playing the guitar in a casual format, similar to a street performance.
The rules of the institute state that graduation performance videos must be a 60-minute solo performance with session players. The student must take full charge of all aspects of the performance including finding the session players, booking the venue, filming, etc. It's reported that 'B's performance was carried out in an unacceptably informal format and only lasted 30 minutes. It's clear 'B' has violated the rules; however, he still obtained his Master's degree.
CNBLUE's Yonghwa was recently involved in a similar issue and admitted to receiving preferential treatment for his acceptance to Kyung Hee University. Currently, the police are investigating idol 'B's case.
