Big Hit Entertainment head Bang Si Hyuk spoke on BTS' success at the '2017 Korea Content Awards'.
Bang PD was awarded a Presidential Citation for the 'Overseas Advancement Merit' category at the '2017 Korea Content Awards' on December 5 at Seoul's COEX Exhibition Center. As the producer behind BTS, he was recognized for BTS' 'Top Social Artist Award' at the '2017 Billboard Music Awards', their performance at the 'American Music Awards', and their recent presence in global media.
Bang Si Hyuk stated, "I'm thankful for receiving such a big and honorable award. I don't think BTS' success is simply due to the success of Big Hit Entertainment as one company, and I don't think it should stop there. There should be a 2nd or 3rd BTS, and I believe they will come out. I'll try hard to freshen up the know-how that I've learned so far and perfect myself as a model, so that my hoobaes can follow the same path."
He continued, "I'd like to thank my sunbaes, businessmen, and my peers who've made K-pop get this far. I want to give this honor to my Big Hit Entertainment family and staff, producers, and the BTS members."
Bang Si Hyuk is the producer behind hit songs like g.o.d's "Sky Blue Balloon", Rain's "Bad Boy", Baek Ji Young's "Like Being Shot By a Bullet" and "My Ear's Candy", and 2AM's "Can't Let You Go Even if I Die". He's currently the producer behind BTS and Homme.
