Controversy has erupted over legendary singer Kim Kwang Suk's suspicious death.

Though he passed in 1996 with numerous hits under his belt, the circumstances of his death have become a controversy once again with the release of a new film documentary about his life called 'Kim Kwang Suk'. There have always been suspicions about how exactly he passed, but following the release of the movie, his wife Seo Hae Soon is again being called into question. It's reported all of Kim Kwang Suk's copyright income from his music, which amounts to 10 billion Won ($8,824,100 USD), is under Seo Hae Soon's name. 

Furthermore, Seo Hae Soon recently stated the couple's only daughter Seo Yeon has been living well in America, but it's now come to light that Seo Yeon actually died 10 years ago. She then alleged her 17-year-old daughter died due to pneumonia, but it's reported Seo Yeon had already stopped breathing by the time they reached the hospital. An unknown man is also reported to have been in the home on the day of her death. According to reports, Kim Kwang Suk's family only heard about Seo Yeon's death recently through headlines.

At the time of his death, Seo Hae Soon claimed Kim Kwang Suk had committed suicide due to depression, but his acquaintances denied he had ever suffered from depression. The two are also revealed to have never officially registered their marriage, but rather, their relationship was recognized as an informal marriage. It's also said Kim Kwang Suk asked for a divorce from his wife the day before he died, and his body was found by Seo Hae Soon's older brother. 

As of September 21, politician Ahn Min Suk and reporter Lee Sang Ho have officially requested a re-investigation into the death of Kim Kwang Suk.
