[SPOILERS AHEAD]
This week, fans got to vote for and see the top 11 members to debut in 'Produce 101' season 2's final boy group, who will be promoting under the name Wanna One. After the broadcast, the show also took to its Facebook page to announce the top 11 trainees through a compiled image. However, they made a mistake by including 3 trainees who failed to place in the top 11.
As you can see in the first image below of the incorrect image the staff initially posted, Pledis Entertainment trainees Kang Dong Ho (NU'EST's Baekho) and Kim Jong Hyun (NU'EST's JR) as well as Brave Entertainment's Kim Samuel were included in the top 11 announcement. In actuality, they ranked in at #13, #14, and #19, respectively.
After realizing their mistake, Mnet corrected the image, adding in MMO's Yoon Ji Sung (#8), personal trainee Kim Jae Hwan (#4), and Ardor & Able's Ha Sung Woon (#11) in place of the three trainees from before.
Upon correcting the image, Mnet apologized, stating, "Hello, this is the administrator for 'Produce 101'. We apologize for the mistake of uploading the image posted at 3:20 PM KST on June 17. The image in question was a sample image, and we have fixed the mistake right away. We will make sure to pay closer attention to maintaining this page. We apologize once again."
Fans are outraged because the three trainees who were eliminated but had their photos in the incorrect image above were trainees whom many believed to have secured, or almost secured, spots in the top 11 debut group. Netizens commented, "Please do your job correctly", "It's like they're trying to kill us twice, and I'm already salty. Plus, they didn't even fix it all that quickly?", "Are you trying to make fun of people right now. They post that wrong image and dare say 'Congratulations'. They thought it would turn out that way and made it in advance. I'm so mad. They can't do anything right", and more.
