The rookie actor gained attention as he publicly called out Lee Kuk Ju for sexually harassing male celebrities.
On March 21, On Si Woo spoke up about the controversy and issued an apology via Instagram.
First, On Si Woo confessed that he's a nameless super rookie who's trying hard to become an actor. However, he denied accusations stating that he tried to gain fame through the controversy.
On Si Woo stated, "I have no label or anyone behind my back. I only left a comment under an article as one of the netizens. I'm not a famous person or a celebrity so I did not believe my comment will become such an issue. My comment just happen to gain attraction from many netizens and that issue made headlines."
Secondly, On Si Woo emphasized that he's against malicious comments. He clarified, "I noticed that I might've sounded like I'm encouraging malicious comments. I realized that could've led to misunderstandings. I reflect on my actions regarding that point."
Lastly, On Si Woo firmly stated that he believes his comments were not wrong. He wrote, "I still don't believe my thoughts were wrong. My opinions are not an issue to be judged by others but only personal feelings and thoughts from one person."
He then apologized, stating, "I sincerely apologize to Lee Kuk Ju and everyone else who were hurt by my comment."
