CL shared her thoughts on 2NE1's disbandment.
In an interview with Ilgan Sports, CL opened up about the YG Entertainment group's disbandment. She said, "It's very unfortunate. It's been more than 10 years since I've known the members. We made many memories and did many things together. I'll miss them. Minzy and each one of us had dreams of our own. I believe that decisions were made with reasons, and even though it's unfortunate, I hope that each of us does well on our own path."

When asked if she cried after hearing the news of disbandment, CL revealed, "It might not make sense, but honestly, it still doesn't feel real. They're people that I've seen every day for a long time, so I still can't feel it."
CL also explained how the decision came about, explaining, "After Minzy left the agency, the boss expressed he wanted us 3 remaining members to release an album. I stopped working on my solo album and prepared [for 2NE1's comeback]. I really wanted to release an album, but changes occurred."
2NE1 officially disbanded in November of 2016, and the group recently released one last track "Goodbye".
