During an interview with Star News, Gyuri revealed how promoting as an actress differs from her idol days as a member of KARA.

Gyuri said, "Since I went from promoting as an idol to an actress, my makeup has definitely become lighter. During KARA, I was really busy but now I have more time, which also allows me to eat better and take care of my health."

She continued, "KARA members cheer me on a lot. Recently, Seungyeon came to the movie premiere for 'How Should We Break Up'. We don't contact each other every day, but we are on good terms. And now since I am promoting solo, I came to realize that KARA were very reliable friends." 

Back in January of 2015, Gyuri left DSP Media after 9 years and is currently promoting as an actress both in Korea and Japan under Motion Media.
