A rep from police reportedly told MBC's 'Newsdesk' the alleged victim who made sexual assault allegations against Uhm Tae Woong could be mistaken about the actor's identity.
According to 'Newsdesk', a rep from the Bundang Police Station stated on August 23, "We need to confirm he is the male celebrity mentioned. It may not be Uhm Tae Woong as she might be mistaken." Plaintiff A had previously told police,"Our establishment is not a massage parlor that participates in prostitution, but I was assaulted by a male celebrity."
As previously reported, Uhm Tae Woong's agency KeyEast is claiming his innocence in terms of sexual assault. However, the agency has not commented on whether the actor visited the massage parlor or if any sexual activity took place.
The Bundang Police are still investigating the sexual assault claims.
