On April 3rd, Sublime, the agency representing actress Seo Ye Ji, announced that they had filed a criminal complaint against individuals spreading defamatory comments and false information about her.

"To counter crimes such as malicious slander, the dissemination of falsehoods, and defamation directed at Seo Ye Ji, we have assembled a dedicated legal team," the agency stated. "In January, we submitted the first complaint to the Gangnam Police Station. Recently, a former staff member who spread false information about Seo Ye Ji was indicted for defamation and referred to the prosecution. Some identified individuals will also soon be referred to prosecutors."

Sublime further emphasized their firm stance against online defamation: "We will track down all accused individuals to ensure they face strict legal consequences. Through continuous monitoring, we will take strong legal measures against all online criminal activities. Under no circumstances will we offer leniency or reach settlements, as our priority is to protect the rights of our artist."

This legal action follows Seo Ye Ji’s recent involvement in rumors suggesting a romantic entanglement with both actor Kim Soo Hyun and his brother. The controversy began when a netizen left a comment on a Naver fan café post on March 13th, asking, "Did you cheat while Kim Soo Hyun was managing his relationship? Please don’t disappoint us."

Seo Ye Ji responded emotionally, stating, "As a human being, I feel overwhelmed, exhausted, suffocated, and deeply hurt. I initially replied to this comment but later deleted it. I sincerely hope this will stop. I have absolutely no connection with him (Kim Soo Hyun) or his brother (Lee Ro Bae). I don’t even know why I have to clarify this, but today, I just feel incredibly frustrated."
