Yonhap News reported on a car accident involving a taxi with three female high school students as passengers, which crashed through a fence and plummeted down a 3 meter slope.
This past July 8 around 1:20 p.m., the taxi, which picked up three female students at a high school in Busan's Deokpo-dong, was speeding through a curve when it suddenly crashed and plunged down a 3 meter slope.
It was reported that all three female students and the 64-year-old taxi driver Im suffered injuries from the accident. Among the female students, two of them were badly injured with wounds to the head area.

The road on which the accident occurred is said to be a steep, 300 meter downhill road which curves to the left. The taxi, which was speeding through this pass, crashed through the safety fence and plunged down three meters below. Im testified, "On the way downhill, the engine stuttered and the handle [steering wheel] stopped working."
Police revealed that they are currently investigating the case by studying the surveillance footage in the area.
