Former national rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon Jae gave fans a glimpse into her warm daily life as a mother, sharing affectionate moments with her young son.

On March 31st, Son posted several photos to her social media with playful captions such as “With my little Jjangu,” “My arms hurt… haha, during private lesson,” and “Don’t interrupt…”
The photos show Son Yeon Jae sitting barefoot on the floor in a cozy knit sweater and jeans, either hugging her son or showing him how to use a hula hoop—displaying a calm and loving parenting routine. In one endearing moment, her son is seen crawling and circling around her, bringing a smile to viewers' faces.

But her rhythmic gymnastics instincts didn’t take a break. In another photo, taken at what appears to be her studio, Son is seen stretching with a young girl while her son watches from the floor with what she described as a “jealous look,” drawing laughs. The caption “Don’t interrupt…” added a humorous touch, capturing a very real and relatable moment of parenting.
Son Yeon Jae married a financier nine years her senior in 2022 and gave birth to their son in February 2023. The couple made headlines for purchasing a private home in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, reportedly worth around 7.2 billion KRW (approx. $5.4 million USD).
Since retiring from competition, Son has been running a rhythmic gymnastics studio, dedicating herself to training the next generation while balancing motherhood and career. Her authentic and heartfelt portrayal of “a day in the life of a mom” continues to earn support from fans.
