Eddy Kim's new song "Paldangdam" featuring Beenzino is banned from MBC due to its inappropriate use of language.
On February 26, MBC announced that Eddy Kim's new song "Paldangdam" contained inappropriate language in its lyrics. The word that cause this restriction was the word 'dam'.
In Korean, the word 'dam' means river or ocean water. However, it can sound like the word, 'damn', in English.

MBC claimed that Eddy Kim did use the word 'dam' in a way that carries the meaning of 'damn'. Therefore, the song is considered inappropriate to be aired on their station.
Eddy Kim was not scheduled to go on music shows, but the banning of the song will have a negative impact to his comeback. He is working on appealing such decision of MBC.
Unfortunately, he might even end up having to change his lyrics. However, deleting the word 'dam' will be difficult as it is one of the most frequently used word in the song. It seems like Eddy Kim is faced with unexpected 'dam' trouble.
