K-Pop idols' album side tracks worth promoting
1.
Side tracks that outshine promotional songs
There are many great songs that our idols hit the stage with and sometimes there are comebacks that may lead to disappointment. Whatever the case may be, these artists pour their hearts out into album tracks that may go unnoticed. Now it is time to put on your headphones and kick back as we uncover 15 side tracks that could possibly be even better than the artist's promotional tracks!
2.
RaNia - Killer
"She's a Killer," I love how easily it plays through your mind. It keeps to RaNia's unique style during their debut days. The rushing siren sounds in the background mixed with their whispery vocals gets your adrenaline going. The use of English lyrics, as expected, are perfectly implemented! They performed this song live once and it was quite entertaining to watch.
3.
EXID - Think About Me
Honestly, the whole "Hippity Hop" album was a God given gift to this earth, but the track that does it for me is "Think About Me." The song is the roll your windows down on a sunny day kind of jam that is upbeat, carefree and irresistible to sing and bob your head to! I pity the people who took so long to recognize these ladies' talents and songs up until the "Up&Down" era.
4.
KARA - Lonely
KARA just seem to know how to get their fans even more heavily addicted to K-Pop! "Lonely" is a passionate song that highlights their soft, elegant voices. The mellow beat and finger snaps make this song one you could slow dance to with the love of your life...well, if it weren't for the sad lyrics. Still, the song has a magical appeal that none can resist.
5.
Red Velvet - Time Slip
R-E-D-V put my name in bold. Not gonna lie, there is something awfully fancy about this side track. It has the tendency, that most K-Pop songs tend to have nowadays, of sounding like three songs in one but the beat transitions well with all of their voices, including the rap! It works well with their spunky girl style.
6.
Wonder Girls - Stop
"Stop" had flair that paired well with the Wonder Girl's sound. Keeping to their retro-chic identity they are most favored for, this little ditty has a strong impact as the lyrics speak of a love that just needs to end. "Stop" is revitalizing in so many ways, especially with the low tone vocals and almost western sound.
7.
SISTAR - A Week
Sistar's Hyorin can sing anything and the hearts of many would melt! This song has a fun style as the girls play with the lyrics in each verse. In comparison to some of the other songs, it is not as loud or in your face but casual with an easy melody to flow along with. I appreciate the lyrics that describe the build up of lovely emotions throughout each day in the song.
8.
2NE1 - Good To You
This song is down right classy. What is moving about this song is the lyrics that can really tug at the heart strings. The unique reference to the love cycle that is "good girls loving bad boys and bad boys loving bad girls" make this song something to ponder over rather than just listen to.
9.
G-Dragon - I Love It ft. Zion T and Boys Noize
This is another song with a unique sound that may have missed the spotlight by many. K-Pop's unique voices packed into three minutes of pure entertainment. The song maintains a funk and eccentric sound that makes it stand out among the others. The lyrics are sensual, filled with smooth talking and brings out a flashy side to K-Pop you can easily get hooked on.
10.
Nine Muses - Just A Girl
"Just A Girl" was one of the sweetest ballads on this album, which was a treasure trove of likable ballads. Previous member Sera's vocals were heavenly paired with the heartwarming back track of the song. The rap is also fun and endearing to the lyrics of being a sweet and simple girl.
11.
Jay Park - Let's Make Up
This side track doesn't come as a surprise from Jay Park's hip hop sense. The song carries a resemblance to Michael Jackson's iconic sounds and 90's R&B New Jack Swing vibe. Jay Park's light voice and high notes make the song a real treasure! The song may have a soft style but it is one that will make you get on your feet in no time!
12.
Dal Shabet - Boom Shakalaka
Dal Shabet made a ton of quirky songs throughout their album history, and Pink Rocket was one of the most eccentric! Before T.O.P made it his own,"Boom Shakalaka" was Dal Shabet's thing and it had some flavor in it that made you want to dance crazy! It's fun, lively and a real rump shaker. This song is a hidden gem among many of Dal Shabet's catchiest tunes.
13.
Block B - Where Are You?
Block B are a group of rowdy boys with a bold sound to match. This side track really emphasizes the boys passionate side for music because their voices aren't clouded by a monstrous instrumental and wacky singing parts. The song is undisrupted with vocal stability throughout. The song has a romantic feeling as the boys reveal their heartfelt desire of love to come back to them.
14.
Girl's Day - Two of Us
When Girl's Day were still aiming for the bullseye, this song was definitely under shadowed on their "Oh My God" album! This song capture the beauty of every singer's vocals and Minah's sweetie girl voice was the icing on this lovely ballad cake. The innocent love lyrics and sweet melody make it a touching track among their newer ballads.
15.
EXO - My Turn To Cry
The boys of EXO always wow us fans with amazing music. Their album "Miracles in December" lived up to its name as it was filled with sweet musical gifts in every track. "My Turn To Cry" stands out the most because it has such a lovable melody thanks to the guitar riffs throughout. The way their voices collide with various lines towards the end makes you feel surrounded by their sincere emotions.
16.
Girls' Generation - Snowy Wish
Girl's Generation has a plethora of tracks to choose from, but one often stumbled upon is "Snowy Wish!" It is more than just a quick holiday jingle, it has power and great instrumentals! The ladies can't sound any better and the harmony throughout the song brings you back to their sweet natured "Kissing You" days. Just soak in Girls' Generation awesomeness.
