There is a library that doesn't allow you to even open the zipper of your bag or even dare sniffle within its walls.
These ridiculously strict rules, which were captured with a camera and shared on a blog post titled 'Sillim-dong library controversy' on January 29, drew mixed reactions from netizens.
This Sillim-dong library, located in Seoul's Gwanak District, is frequented by young adults whose main job is to pass the exams necessary to secure a position in their desired career field. Needless to say, the library enforces absolute silence at all times for the sake of these young adults whose future careers depend on their studies. However, some people are of the opinion that these rules are a bit too severe.
Some of rules of this particular library include taking off your outerwear and opening your bag before entering the facility, refraining from sniffing or talking, among others.

Some netizens commented, "If you can't even deal with that level of noise then just study at home," and, "Why don't they think about how other people would feel," while others seemed to sympathize, writing, "I can understand whoever wrote that post-it note," and, "It could bother the people who are overly sensitive."
