'Reply 1988' star Go Kyung Pyo is a dapper man in the latest issue of 'InStyle'. He's swapped his character's trademark bowl cut for some wild but stylish wavy hair.
The actor was said to be tired from filming the drama, but quickly regained his energy for some charismatic poses. He even had filming in the afternoon following the photo shoot. Speaking of the drama, Go Kyung Pyo revealed all about his 'Reply 1988' castmates. Stop right here if you don't want any spoilers whatsoever!
About the group of 5 friends in the drama, he shared, "Hyeri is almost exactly the same as her character, and Park Bo Gum is the kindest person among all the celebrities I've met. Like his character Junghwan, Ryu Jun Yeol is more sentimental than chic and also likes to joke around. Lee Dong Hwi is more cautious than his character Dongryong. He's the type that worries about his character."
During his interview, he talked about all of his castmates. He spoke about his co-star Ryu Hye Young (who plays Hyeri's unni). Her character is his girlfriend onscreen, but is actually his close friend in real life.
He shared, "Since it's acting, there is no awkwardness, and we film like typical actors. Since she's a friend, there are times it's more comfortable to act. If we weren't able to sleep the night before or our condition isn't good, we can tell just by looking at each other's faces. That's why we're more considerate towards each other when acting, and we're happily filming."
And the question he receives the most? He revealed, "I get asked who plays the adult version of Sunwoo (his character) the most. I found out that Lee Mi Yeon plays Duksun's (Hyeri) adult character by watching the first broadcast, so I'm also curious as to who I (my character) will become."
