For this friendly fashion face-off, we have the two in the same 'Maison Kitsune' top, a simple yet stylish quarter-sleeved baseball tee with orange lettering that blares the brand name in bold font. The sleeves, which are loosely-fitted, coincide with the orange coloring of the letters.
Sooyoung was seen in the shirt at the 'BEAKER' launching show back in September. She chose to preserve the casual vibe of the top, keeping it simple with washed out, slightly destroyed skinnies that seems to add more length to her already long legs. The singer chose comfort over style for this modest yet chic ensemble, off-white sneakers on her feet and no accessories to speak of save for a navy snapback. In her sporty, comfortable outfit, Sooyoung looks ready to go out on a fun date to a baseball match!
Kiko Mizuhara wore the shirt for a 'Vogue' photo shoot, and like Sooyoung, the model/actress took a laid-back direction with the shirt. One thing that is noticeably different than Sooyoung's outfit is that the model chose to wear the shirt loose rather than fitted. Kiko hides her willowy frame underneath the large shirt, pairing it with sporty shorts, grey and black high tops, and white tube socks.
This match was a no brainer for me; I was immediately impressed by Sooyoung's stylish yet comfortable-looking outfit which drew attention to her long, lean frame. She was able to give her thin body more volume by making the shirt more fitted, tucking it under her pants and rolling up the sleeves so they don't look so big. Kiko, on the other hand, just looks like she's wearing pajamas that are two sizes too large on her. The way she wore the shirt just doesn't complement her petite frame.
