At a remote cafe in Jongno District's Samcheong neighborhood, actress Kim Yoo Jung sat down recently with Yonhap News and relayed her thoughts on the conclusion of filming for movie 'Secret.'
During the interview, Kim Yoo Jung discussed a bit about her role in the film, her aspirations for the future, and whether she regrets going down the path of acting.
The actress said, "When I was younger, I did lots of film, but in grade school and middle school, I did more dramas. So for the movie audience, my younger self probably has a stronger impression on them. I usually played a bright character but this time, I portrayed a deep character with more emphasis on emotional depth. After reading the script, I realized I'm similar to my role Jung Hyun in some ways and I also think I became more like her while acting out her role."
Kim Yoo Jung continued with what she wants to show the audience for every project, saying, "Every time I work on a project, I try to show a new side to me and reach for my potential. I'm always in a learning stance. Instead of hearing that I'm born with acting talent, I'd rather hear that I'm an actress who always tries her best."
The actress also relayed that she has no regrets choosing a path in acting. She said, "I don't regret choosing this path. Sung Dong Il sunbae, who is like a father to me, told me to gain a lot of experience by traveling. Should an opportunity arise, I want to travel a lot on my own. I want to officially learn acting and show off my acting vividly on a small stage. It'd be nice if I could also find a boyfriend who'd give me consolation, instead of family members," and concluded, "Though I'm curious and excited to see how I'll grow [as an actress] and what kind of self I'll show, at the same time, I'm nervous and scared. But I still await that day. I want to be an actress with a deep and beautiful aroma."
It seems like the young actress is wise beyond her years!
