Gwi, angered at Sung Yeol (SY) and Soo Hyang (SH)'s plan to off him, taunts SY by digging his claw into YS's neck. SY is tantalized by the scent of YS's blood but is afraid to attack Gwi for fear that he will further harm her. SY and Gwi face off, and much like their last battle, SY doesn't even withstand a pea-size of a chance against his arch nemesis. He was clouted, slapped, kicked, and punched over and over again that I started feeling almost sorry for SY. But not sorry enough to prevent me from thinking, "How can a guardian vampire be so weak…"
SUPER SAIYAN MOOOOODEEEEE!!!!
YS, clutching her battered beau, decides to save him by feeding him a mouthful of her own blood. As soon as she does so, SY transform into a completely different creature, foreboding in his austere strength and malice. The only physical change was that his eyes turned blue instead of red. Now SY was the one throwing Gwi around like a rag doll, having completely turned the tables in his favor with just a couple gulps of YS's blood. So Now we know that YS really is the secret to Gwi's destruction! She is indeed the descendant of the maternal line; the guardian vampire had to simply drink her blood to be able to defeat Gwi.
Who else wants to cave this face in every time they see it?
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Choi Chul Joong shrewdly schemes on, framing both the King Lee Yoon (KY) and the queen (his own daughter Hye Ryeong, mind you) as traitors and throwing them in jail. He also orders for arrest warrants of SY and YS to be disseminated. Thankfully, YS was able to escape his evil clutches with SH right at her heels. SY escapes the palace as well, not yet having regained his conscious as the vampire with the human heart he was before. His mere presence frightens the poor citizens who were just minding their business. SY continues the fight against himself, as the battle of his previous, more human self reasons with the beast that emerged within him.
Forget about that pansy and come to daddy. I'll treat you like a lady.
You really gonna throw away our love for that...that...wanton degenerate?!
I'm just too sexy...I just can't choose between myself and I!
SH divulges to YS that a vampire's thirst is only quenched when he sucks his victim's blood dry. In other words, YS is as good as dead meat since SY's longing for YS's blood won't subside until he drinks every last drop of her blood. His 'human conscience' will be lost forever; even if he does regain his senses, the realization that he hurt the person he loved the most will turn him into a more atrocious and deadly fiend.
Prime minister suggests putting the blame on SY as the vampire who have been wreaking havoc and telling the people that the king was arrested for following him. It's pretty evident what the prime minister is trying to do: he want that throne for himself. Too bad that Gwi took the throne for himself.
When the pimp's in da crib ma, drop it like it's hot, drop it like it's hot, drop it like it's hot...
HR convinces Gwi and her father to spare the life of KY by exiling him instead of executing him. In exchange for his life, HR will once again become Gwi's woman. However, Gwi never planned to let KY live. The last we see of the exiled king is deep in the woods encircled by a handful or soldiers who all turn their swords on him. How will KY escape this sticky situation, I wonder?
Changmin: Craphole. I'm f***ed.
Hunter Baek In Ho is speared in the belly while trying to aid in the escape of YS. SY, who stumbles upon this scene, is about to give in to his fiend side and drink YS's blood when Baek In Ho thrusts a sword through his backside, pleading SY to "regain his human heart." YS, happy to see her scholar again, gives him a back hug, which immediately brings the scholar back to his human senses. That's the power of Lee Yu Bi's back hugs!
I mean. What kind of man's heart WOULDN'T be softened by Lee Yu Bi's hugs.
