Due to his wishes to enlist quietly without fuss, SM Entertainment kept his enlistment location and other details private other than to say that he'd be enlisting somewhere between 1pm to 2pm KST. However fans were said to have found out about the location and had waited for him there. It's said he was spotted entering the base camp for his enlistment just recently, and was accompanied by his friends, family, and manager, who saw him off. He also spent a meaningful time with his fellow member Changmin and his close buddies of Super Junior the day before to say his goodbyes.
After 5 weeks in the training camp, he will begin his 21 months of duty as an active soldier. He's expected to be discharged in April of 2017, which sounds really far away, but at least we have his drama and TVXQ's latest album to help ease the wait!
Best of luck to Yunho!
