The entertainment industry is one of the hardest industries to break into. Only a few top stars enjoy the spotlight, but that also means many more actors and singers have yet to become famous.
On the upcoming episode of JTBC's 'Mom Is Watching', the featured guests were an actress who has remained unknown for 24 years and her unknown idol daughter, TAHITI's Ari, who has also been relatively unknown for 4 years.
The mother, whose name has yet to be revealed, said she decided to come on the show because of her daughter Ari. She said Ari is a girl group member, yet she does not come on TV, and so she was curious as to what kind of activities her daughter was doing. Ari's mother also revealed Ari's salary, which was a bit shocking.
She said, "When I say my daughter is an idol, people around me think she earns a lot of money. She has been promoting for 4 years, but the amount she has earned is zero."
Ari also said, "There was a time I was happy to be able to perform on a music show, but the day before filming, the staff called and said, 'Shorten the song to 2 minutes.' It's unfortunate that we weren't able to show a proper stage performance."
