Hi everyone! It's Parky1, allkpop's newest intern. As a huge and proud nerd, I spend hours of my day playing video games, watching 'Game of Thrones,' and reading. My long-time favorite K-pop star (and role model) is BoA, the Queen of K-pop herself!
Being the huge League player I am, I have to write about 'League of Legends' and its invasion into K-pop's base. Created by Riot Games, League of Legends has grown to become the biggest game in the world with over 27 million players. Even K-pop has been invaded!
1) Fiestar's "School of Legends"
Girl group Fiestar released a special League themed teaser for their song "You're Pitiful." The girls remind us of the importance of buying boots and wards to take down the enemy nexus and win the game!
And, of course, Teemo-Jei teaches us the importance of shrooming.
2) Lee Sin and Ahri's Super Junior Skins
Super Junior member Heechul is a known avid player of 'League of Legends,' so it makes sense that he would cosplay as a League champ! Heechul cosplayed as the blind monk Lee Sin while Shindong turned into the sexy and foxy Ahri.
(How tempting...)
3) Cowsep
Joseph "Cowsep" Hursey is a League of Legends streamer who has a penchant for, you guessed it, cows. A former English teacher in Korea, Cowsep loves rocking out to K-pop on his stream as he shows his viewers how to melt faces with Master Yi.
Just look at his playlist:
4) Champ Dances
There must be some K-pop fans at Riot because these champs know their dance moves!
Ahri and Run Devil Run
Popstar Ahri and Genie
Syndra and Hoot
(Riot really loves Girls' Generation.)
Twisted Fate and the "Horse Dance"
5) SKT T vs. the Scary Men
Super Junior's Heechul showed his love for LoL once again in a special match of League! Playing as a player of "Kang Min and the Scary Team," Heechul and his teammates played against World Champions SK Telecom T1. While SKT ended up victorious, the "Scary Men" managed to hold their own and put up quite a fight!
(Even Faker's impressed!)
6) C9 Meets K-pop
North American pro team Cloud9 were invited to play in the OGN LoL Champions Festival at KCON 2014. C9 members Hai, Lemonnation, Meteos, Sneaky, and Balls were able to meet with TEEN TOP and IU.
(Former C9 mid laner Hai even managed to get a selfie!)
7) Cha Noah
The son of actor Cha Seung Won, Cha "Livy" Noah is a former support player for the pro team Incredible Miracle. Unfortunately, he found himself in a string of scandals and controversies. He is currently teamless.
