He told TV Report during an interview on the 25th, "The response towards iKON is impressive, not only in Korea but overseas as well. They are especially receiving an explosive response in China. Right after their debut next year, iKON will actively promote in China."
"Due to Big Bang's active promotions in Japan, they achieved a tour with 800,000 fans. It is an impressive result. If Big Bang has targeted Japan, then iKON will target China. Through this past Chinese fan meeting, we were able to confirm that iKON already has a local fanbase," Yang Hyun Suk said.
Considering there is really only a 2-month period left before this planned time of debut in January 2015, the media outlet asked him if he really thought that everything would be ready and possible by then.
Yang Hyun Suk explained, "iKON's leader B.I has already been working on the album a lot. A release early next year is definitely possible. There has been no YG artist that has officially ventured into China yet. However, iKON will actively advance into the Chinese market. The iKON members were also taught the Japanese language along with WINNER so that they can communicate [with fans outside of Korea]. Until their debut, they will put their all into studying the Chinese language and preparing for their activities to go smoothly."
What do you think fans? Given the agency's history of delays, do you believe iKON will be ready to make their debut in Korea and China in January of the coming year? Let's keep our fingers crossed!
