During a special interview celebrating the ending of the drama 'Discovery of Love', Eric discusses his plans for the future as well as Shinhwa's plans for the following year.
He said, "I'm going to be taking a break for a couple more days, then I'll be releasing Shinhwa's album and promoting as a part of Shinhwa. Starting from beginning of next year, I will be promoting as Shinhwa throughout [the year]. We have to prepare for the album and will be holding a concert as well. I will be taking a break from acting."
When he was asked about g.o.d's comeback and his thoughts on Shinhwa being compared to g.o.d as the only worthy rival, he said, "I'm glad to see g.o.d come out. However, saying that only g.o.d is our rival is as if you are already treating Shinhwa as the older generation. I also want g.o.d to promote in the current era."

Eric added, "The things that we prefer and aim for is, of course, different because of our age and experience compared to the idols now, but I want to compete with the 'hot' idols groups on music programs and compete within this generation. I don't want to be treated like seniors. Whether it's singing or dancing, we are going to do things that we can express ourselves and perform the best in. And if being on trend is important, then we will work to follow that trend as well."
Meanwhile, Eric revealed that Shinhwa will be making their comeback during the first week of January and will be starting their album preparation this month.
In addition to the album release, Shinhwa will be holding their 17th year anniversary concert in March of 2015 along with Andy, who has recently revealed to have ended his reflection and rejoin the group.
