South Korea defeated Japan with a score of 4-2 to advance to the International Championship game for the Little League World Series taking place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Jae Yeong Hwang hit a solo homer in the sixth inning to put Korea ahead for good. Korea has gone undefeated in the tournament so far and will face the Winner of the Mexico-Japan matchup on Saturday, August 23 for the International Championship game. If Korea defeats their next opponent, they will be in the Little League Baseball World Series Championship game and face the United States champion on Sunday, August 24 at 3PM.
