INFINITE's Hoya discussed his family on the recent recording of MBC's 'Quiz to Change the World.'
He said, "After I dropped out of high school without telling my parents, all ties with my father were severed." �He was revealed to have engaged himself in school work with the hopes of entering a police academy, but decided to drop out after he started to dream of becoming a singer in the third year of middle school. �

He said, "My relationship with my father was never good, but it worsened after I dropped out of school. �We did not contact each other for eight years."
He also said, "When I was young, my parents bought me everything I wanted, so I thought we were well off, but I found out we had a hard time and a lot of debt to the point there was a red foreclosure sticker on our house. �As I started to earn money, I paid off all that debt."
