Girls' Generation's first Japanese greatest hits album 'THE BEST' topped the Oricon Weekly Album Chart!

According to the Oricon Chart, 'THE BEST', which was released on the 23rd, sold a total of 75,000 copies, ranking #1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart. This marks Girls' Generation's third time topping the Oricon Weekly Album Chart following 'GIRLS' GENERATION' in June 2011 and 'LOVE & PEACE' in December 2013.
With 'THE BEST' at the top of the chart, Girls' Generation have become the first Asian, non-Japanese girl group to achieve such a feat. This doesn't come as a surprise since the album has been maintaining the #1 spot on the Oricon Daily Album Chart for the past week.
