In a recent interview with MyDaily, Jung Il Woo shared, "Pressure concerning the military? Hmm... When I enlist after consistently doing productions and complete my military service well, I think I will be fine. I don't want to pressure myself prior to my enlistment. Others might grow hasty doing 'Golden Rainbow', and people would ask me the reason for choosing such a long production. But I think of acting as a career I'll have for the rest of my life. That is why I am not worried. I am doing this with the thought that it's okay to take my time and experience things little by little."
He also talked about what it was like to play the role of a villain's son, "It wasn't easy to express the emotions of my character Seo Do Young. I had a lot of scenes with actor Jo Min Ki sunbaenim for this production, and I learned a lot from his advice. I think working with various sunbaes will serve as the foundation to one's acting career. I watched the finale with my friends from middle school, and friends who don't comment much on my acting normally, complimented me, saying, 'I really liked the warehouse scene.' I felt good [hearing that]."
Jung Il Woo also shared that he was comforted by the advice of the 'Infinity Challenge' cast, "I met the hyungs during the first filming, and I was so scatterbrained. I was worried because I had to adjust quickly. The hyungs gave me the advice, 'Don't try to do anything and just have fun.' That is why I try to film comfortably. I have a ten-day schedule in Brazil, and through that variety show, you will be able to see a different Jung Il Woo than I've shown in dramas, advertisements, and pictorials."
Jung Il Woo also revealed his plans to hold a fan meeting and take on another production later this year.
