The Seoul Central District Court issued the sentence on the 27th and giving him an 8-month jail sentence suspended up to two years, which means that he most likely won't have to serve any time if he keeps his record clean for 2 years, in addition to 120 hours of mandatory community service.
For those of you just learning about the story, Kim Yong Man was previously found to be involved in illegal sports gambling from January 2008 to May 2011, and was charged back in April. Kim Yong Man admitted to all the charges and stated in his official apology, "I went to the prosecutors, admitted everything and participated diligently and sincerely in the investigations. No matter what decision is made regarding my actions 2 years ago, I will accept the sentence."
Since the outbreak of the scandal, the MC has stepped down from all five of his shows.
