After watching the movie, which was released in theaters on November 29th, Lee Hyori left a tweet for the actress, writing, "Hye Jin, I really enjoyed watching the movie. I think I'll be remembering 'Mi Jin' for a long time." A few hours later, Han Hye Jin tweeted back with, "Unnie ??. Thank you so much! You even watched it on the day it premiered... '26 Years' is based on a popular 2006 online comic series by cartoonist Kang Full. The film revolves around the fictional story of five ordinary people who attempt to assassinate ex-president Chun Doo Hwan after their loved ones die in the Gwangju Democratization Movement.
