Earlier this week, Jewelry's 2008 hit track, "One More Time", was revealed to have been banned by the Ministry of Gender Equality & Family. The song was banned for sexually suggestive lyrics, with the Ministry specifically pointing out lines like, 'Pathetic wolves that will be up all night', 'Hug me', and 'Sexy gazes and hot movements'. These lyrics were consider to be 'hazardous for youth'. Star Empire announced that they'd be submitting a letter of objection to the Ministry, and they did just that on July 28th to protest against the ruling. Through Star News, representatives revealed, "The intended meaning of the lyrics is completely different from what the Ministry is accusing us of. It's absolutely ridiculous that they think it's sexually suggestive. They need to stop looking at it in parts and take a look at the entire picture." They continued, "The lyrics are about a modern, confident woman taking jabs at the 'pathetic men' who chase after women for their outer appearances. It's not suggesting anything sexual, but rather, bringing light to the stereotypes women are forced to deal with." Source + Photos: Star News via Nate
