VJ/singer Kim Hyung Kyu (who's also the husband to Jaurim's Kim Yuna) recently shared a shocking story through his Twitter which sparked some discussion amongst netizens on the topic of bullying. On March 29th, Kim Hyung Kyu wrote:
"A while ago, I headed to KBS's broadcast hall for a late night radio recording. Anyone who has visited the building before knows that there's a very long staircase to the side of the entrance. After I parked my car and went in, I was going to take the stairs when I came across a girl group. One member was giving a piggyback ride to another member while going up the stairs. I went up to them and asked, 'Is she hurt?' The girl on the back gave a smile and said no. However, the girl carrying her looked too much in fatigue to even give a response. I felt that the line in the situation wasn't clear as to whether they were joking or bullying her. Anyway, I let them go and went to the recording room on the seventh floor. After receiving my script, I began reading it in my waiting room and saw that the same girl was still carrying her member all the way up to the seventh floor. They're all promoting actively now, so I just randomly thought of it and decided to write about it. Whether it was a joke, a form of bullying, or just the way they express their friendship or love, I guess nobody will know except the girls themselves."Netizens have been speculating a few girl groups while leaving comments like, "That is definitely bullying," "This is really too much, how could they make a girl carry someone up seven flights of stairs?" and "That is really scary, it truly can't be considered as just a joke. Try carrying someone up seven flights of stairs, especially for a girl group member, who's obviously young and skinny." Source: Star News
